Aaron uses simple lines, in the form of round stock steel, to capture the emotional expression of the human form. His sculptures are ego-less, expressive in their form, emotive and connective. The patterns created by steel bars mimic the musculature of the body. Take a look at the hand-made copper elements that accent this piece. The copper highlights the expressiveness of the hands and the grounding of the figure’s feet. In the figure’s left hand is a gentle butterfly. This sculpture has been carefully oxidized and sealed. It would look great in your home or home landscape.

This exhibit is on display until August 10, 2024.

As a native of Brevard, NC, J. Aaron Alderman studied at Brevard College. Upon graduation he continued his studies with local sculptor and college professor Tim Murray and coppersmith J.T. Copper. Alderman has been awarded multiple public and private commissions and has displayed work across the United States and internationally in galleries and select juried public exhibitions.
