Carroll Lassiter

ARTIST STATEMENT
Moving through the landscape of North Carolina, I am often stopped in my tracks by the way light is happening. A familiar site may be transformed to inspiration by the chance of weather, season and time of day. It is those specific flashes I work to capture in my paintings with as many details as possible. Painting keeps me delighting in those moments of reverie and reflection and awe.
