The Art of Mosaics – SA1 – Dates: Mondays, April 8, 15, 29, May 6 from: 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm
April 8 @ 12:30 pm
Whether you have dabbled in mosaics before or are completely new to this art form, this four-week (10 hour) class will introduce you to mosaics through the creation of a fabulous mosaic form (substrate) of your choice. Choose one of the following items: a mosaic serving tray, a large heart, a Hamsa hand, an oval form to create a “seeing or evil eye” or a form of your own. Gabrielle’s approach to teaching mosaics is informative, creative, fun and many find it to be relaxing. Through her guidance, you will create a step-by-step piece of beautiful 3-D mosaic artwork. Many mosaic examples, tips and techniques will be shared. Class will be held in the beautiful FRANK Gallery in Carrboro. Students will receive a printable pdf of the best mosaic resources for materials and tools in the US and Europe. All materials are included in the class fee, including substrate. *Minimum 4 students/Max 10
